Empowering young people to feel confident enough to get their feet firmly on the career ladder is a real kick for us. There’s no denying that youth unemployment is a major societal issue and working with Barclays, we’re striving to address this. It’s no mean feat but since launching LifeSkills in 2013, over four million young people have participated in the programme and, what’s more, it’s made a genuine difference to their lives. 75% of young people who have participated in LifeSkills say they feel more confident to make decisions about their future careers, while 69% say they’re motivated to do better whilst still in education.
From creating curriculum linked education resources, to launching and maintaining an educator Twitter feed, managing a targeted comms campaign, creating film content, coordinating events, delivering educator CPD, establishing an educator advisory council, and so much more, we deliver strategy right through to creative implementation. We’re passionate about ensuring educational integrity lies at the heart of LifeSkills and it’s because of this that 83% of UK secondary schools and sixth form colleges are registered with the programme, 100% of educators would use the resources again and 99% would recommend it to a colleague, making our job so worthwhile.
